First Love

So, so you think you can leave,
Move freely?
No bounds or memories,
Ghosts of history?

Your past is gone?
has it been erased?
Running down that memory line,
Can’t find that hand
that’s keeping you straight?

Your head on his shoulders
His fingers running through your hair
You see the resemblance?
No you can’t see
As the new one aint “He”

You wish for a lonely night,
You two on the beach
Just to sleep in his arms
You and him with the moon overlooking.
But he won’t stop
His usual gibberish
Business flights and mergers he competes and completes,
While on the sand and sea,
Its only his heartbeats you long to feel
Yes you are right,
he is so different,
Do you know why?
Because he aint He
he aint He.

On long journeys back home,
Smiling at each other`s ways,
Casually letting slip he loves you, he laughs.
But does his smile and eye reflect the same
Is it really love?
Is he true?

I don’t know as I am the one,
who just puts questions into you and run.
Is it love? Does he love you true?
Then why do you wish?
Wishing it was “He” who was here.

I am a cruel joke,
Do you know me?
Your heart and its passions
are squeezed by me,
I crush them,
I trample them,
Your emotions ruffled
I feed on your sufferings
till you feel drained.
I am the First Love,
Yes that`s me
Why do they name me love then?
It’s just cruel games that I play.

A day at the Museum

Daddy, daddy I don’t want to go
Mommy please tell him,
I don’t want to go.

I want to go to the ground where breeze flows,
Where that sun shines,
where I’ll be able to run,
kick, jog and climb

Don’t say that son,
Museum to is a nice place,
A place of history,
A place of knowledge.

But I don’t like history,
It bores me down
Tugging at his father`s sleeve
the boy just wants to run.

Slowly the small family makes way to the large hall,
Glittering under the huge chandelier
those arrogant statues, empty portraits and unused artifacts.

Daddy, daddy why does the man in the picture have such a stone face?
Why is he angry?
why is he mad?

No son he isn’t angry
He was a king once,
and that’s how kings look like.

Oh a king was he?
So he must have fought battles too a many?
Did he look the same,
when his soldiers were killed and army fleeing?

Dad look, look!!
That`s a broken statue.
its face is deformed and arms gone.
Son it’s because the statue decayed with time,
the exasperated father replied.
But dad if it has broken and crumbled,
how is it still arrogant and proud??

Look dad in this picture,
All those people are bowing to the king
In those times did they actually worship the crown??
Bemused father, at a loss,
what to say to his child,
How could have mass murderers, who torched down entire civilizations
be considered as Gods?

Dad I like this king, he looks kind.
Look he is giving sweets and gifts to those poor boys.
Silently the dad smiles and turns around,
those false portraits which narrate false golden times,
pictures which are always dumb and mute,
of how those poor boys lost their families,
whose fathers died in the pursue of king`s lusty desires.

Father leads the son away from all this farce and explains,
Go, go out and run son.
fall down , get bruised but still run.
As the true world,
true knowledge outside resides,
Inside , here is no history.
its just a story a man writes.

Charade

In the circus of this world,
amongst these clowns,
The role plays they have
And the games they perform.

Oh! Just a charade you are.

Your games of love and peace,
And the affection you shower
With the steel heart you possess
Olive leafs you offer??

Such a charade you are.

You turn that dazzling smile,
Oh so pretty!!
Under that makeup and flowing hair
These are masks you posses,
Manipulating and twisting us,
with your evil intents
The camouflage of care is gone,
with that your farce act,
Beneath it lays the true you
I have seen at last,
Stop this pretend game, Oh do stop
Because at the very end
Just a charade you are.

Saffron, White & Green

Tirange ko thorti, Bhagwa aur hara banati
Yeh bhulte , ki teri maa sang unhe hai palti

Kesari kai rang taleh , kabhi desh, kabhi uskai logo ko jalati
kabhi darati, kabhi dhamkati,
kuch to hai thor chuki, baki jo bacha hai use bhi thorna chati

Hara parcham hai hilatain, sab ko hai yaad dilatain,
bas kuch pal kai liye iss hukumat ko hatao,
phir iss desh ko hai hum bhi jalatain,

Iss Kesari aur Hare ki ladai main,
Safaid ko hai bhul hi jate,
jo bina shor, bina chillaie,
Satya aur Dharma ko yaad dilatain,

Par alag inki zidd , inki alag zaruratain,
yeh phir sai ek alag bhagwa, ek alag hara hai chatain

(Bhagwa : saffron )

Government`s actual reasons for the petrol hike

Amidst the hue and cry the people of India are making about the rising prices of the petroleum products, the general public seems to have forgotten the real motive behind these moves. For the first time unraveling the real motives of the Government behind this unjustified and continuous step, we have come to the conclusion that a hidden reason is behind this case, a controversy that lies deep which will be uncovered today.

Bringing to you the :
Government’s 3 reasons for the increasing petroleum prices”

First: Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad our Union Minister for Health has been commenting regularly on the degrading level of health and alarming levels of obesity being observed in the youth of today. Time and again serious warning have been issued on behalf of the Ministry of Health against the risks involved in driving automobiles and motorcycle which indirectly lead to lesser physical activity and thus subsequently rising cholesterol levels. Thus in an unobtrusive way , the government has come up with a noble solution to this problem which will ultimately lead to more people leaving their cars , using more of bicycles for their conveyance and thus leading to a healthier lifestyle.

Second: World over discussions and debates are being conducted to come up with solutions to the problem caused by pollution. Dedicated advanced researches are being carried out in many countries to come up with more fuel efficient cars, petroleum products with lower carbon residue and to find new and innovative alternative fuel for automobile. But India is emerging as a clear winner in these ongoing battles of the governments around the world. What the other missed to see, India has gone down to the basic of this problem. Indian Government’s stand is indeed an elegantly simple one: Higher Price of Petrol leads to Lesser Cars being used and thus lesser pollution being created. Other countries are so impressed with this model that they are planning to send representatives from their countries to study this on going model.

Third: This last decade has been marked with a sudden increase in the crimes and autocracies being committed against women. The number of chain snatching incidents in and around the capital has been particularly alarming. Also there have been various cases being reported in which the confines of the cars are being repeatedly used against the women such as the cases in which taxis and office cabs are regularly becoming potentially dangerous for the working women and the interiors of the automobiles which are often used by the gangs as a hiding place for the kidnapped. As reported in the various cases, the car has started to become a common accomplice with those who are committing the crime. Seeing as these incidents are occurring frequently, the government in collaboration with the civil authorities of the various states has came up again with a unique solution to this old problem. Seeing the only solution to this ever growing problem is to stop the use of cars, the automobile manufacturers have shown a certain reluctance to reduce the number of cars being produced in their workshops, the government again went to the root cause. A local mafia when contacted has been complaining that this new policy of the government has directly affected his business and is looking for newer and cheaper means of transport to get his desired results.  And thus the government has been smiling ear to ear seeing that its policy is going to fetch the desired result.

There you stand

There you are, there you stand,
With your money and glory
With glitz of gold and galleons overflowing.

And there you stand, knee deep in mud
With cloths tattered and pockets draining
And still the nobles say life is tough,
And you there in dirt, snorting indifferently.

There you move, there you sit
In those swift cars and trolleys
Which move sometimes on ground, sometimes on the bodies of deprived follies.

There you sit on that barren land,
Amongst animal waste and your own betel leaf debris
And still others get affected by the storm and the rain
And cry about the heat which makes their cosmetics ineffective

There you talk, your wisdom talks
This boasts of intellectual rubbish
Which shelters murderers and molesters?
And you ask for the rights of those rapists

And there you talk, your petty talks
Where you fight for a penny more
Whereas your brothers are being slaughtered either by the government bullets,
Or being used as a shelter for the blades of the Maoist

There you eat, feed your plump skin
On a foam couch, with plumper overalls
Amidst wine tasting, you discuss how food security can be solved,

There you eat, search for food
Either in rubbish heaps
Or searching in the eyes of those aristocrats,
Where sadly the solution for food security can never be met
